Firmware update 2.5 for Telos: intuitive use and better nighttime performance
Pulsar is introducing firmware update 2.5 with some important new features for the Telos thermal imaging monoculars line.
Update your Telos now to experience the haptic feedback and improved nighttime performance of the device.
Tactile experience
The new update will be compatible with the Telos LRF XP50 and Telos XP50 models as well as the upcoming extensions of the entire line.
One of the most exciting updates is the haptic feedback that can be activated in the main menu of the Telos. The unit will respond with short vibrations when pressing the buttons. This tactile experience will enable a more intuitive use of Pulsar flagship handhelds.
Reduce the eye fatigue
You can now control the brightness of the entire display elements at once. Choose the Display dimming when it’s pitch-black outside to reduce eye fatigue and visibility to the animals.
Plus, the new firmware update brings the option of deactivating the LED light at the bottom of the monocular. The activation/deactivation of this function can be found in the main menu.
Prolong the battery life
Considering that hunters spend a lot of time outdoors and long device operation is a huge privilege, an advanced battery saving option has been implemented in all Telos units.
After activating this function, the device will automatically turn off if not being used for more than 30 minutes. This will eliminate the unnecessary battery drain and prolong the use of the monocular.
More language options
Additionally, Pulsar has added a few new languages to the menu of the Telos. Now the monoculars “speak” Bulgarian, Finnish, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Romanian, among many other languages.
Some other minor updates include a red auto calibration indication in the status bar of the device. As well as a green square indicating the image part shown in the Picture-in-picture mode. All this for a smoother experience for Telos users.
