The latest firmware update for the Oryx LRF delivers smarter performance, greater precision, and improved usability in the field. From clearer thermal imaging to seamless ballistics integration, the upgrade ensures users can rely on their device for sharper visuals and faster decision-making in any conditions.
The update is available from September 16 via the Stream Vision 2 app.
Key highlights:
- Enhanced image processing algorithm: enjoy a smoother viewing experience and sharper, cleaner thermal images.
- Stream Vision Ballistics app support: reliable ballistic calculations via smartphone integration.
- Ballistic calculator widget on screen: instant access to distance, profiles, and correction data.
- Auto Display Off: greater discretion in the field.
- USB Type-C video output: easy streaming, recording, and sharing.
Enhanced Image Processing Algorithm
The improved algorithm reduces visual noise, producing a cleaner, more stable thermal feed. Fine details stand out more clearly, making it easier to separate targets from their surroundings – even in complex conditions. The result is a sharper, less fatiguing viewing experience.
Stream Vision Ballistics App Support
For the first time, Oryx LRF users can pair their device with the Stream Vision Ballistics app via Bluetooth. Once connected, users can activate ballistics, select profiles, and choose preferred calculator units – all from their smartphone. This integration provides reliable ballistic data for more precise, well-informed shots.
Ballistic Calculator Widget
Critical ballistic information is displayed directly on the monocular’s screen. The new widget shows the last measured distance, active ballistic profile, and horizontal/vertical corrections – keeping everything visible without leaving the field of view. This saves time and helps maintain focus on the target.
Auto Display Off
With angle sensors built in, the device automatically powers down the display when not in use – whether pointed up, down, or placed on its side. This helps prevent accidental screen glow that could give away your position.
USB Type-C Video Output
The update 3.0.0 enables high-quality, low-latency video output via USB-C. Recognized as a webcam, the device can connect directly to a computer or compatible smartphone for live streaming, recording, or editing with ease.
Note: on iPhones, this feature is supported only by models equipped with a USB Type-C port.
Availability
The firmware update for Oryx LRF is available via the Stream Vision 2 app, downloadable on Google Play and the App Store.
